This is Katelyn still not getting over her silliness....
The party itself got off to a rocky start. We got there and just sat down with our dinner (in the hall, because it was so crowded, this was probably the best attended party I've ever seen) when the fire alarm went off. The YW&YM were doing a spook alley with a smoke machine. I am not exaggerating, the alarm went off for probably 20+ minutes. Sam kept on asking why were weren't going outside, and if there was a fire, and then he said he wanted to go home. Finally, they got the alarm turned off and the kids got their donuts and all was well. The kids went to a fishing pond and played a few games. The highlight of course was the "train" (a riding lawn mower I think). It was an awesome party! The kids loved it. There was a trunk or treat at the end, and we almost made our kids miss it... but we caved at the end and they ended up hauling off tons of candy. The kids had such a great time. On the way home they both said "That was AWESOME!"

Good job capturing such a cute moment on camera. Way too often those kinds of things happen and go unrecorded and get forgotten. It made me laugh out loud!
I have always wondered about those fog machines. Now I know!
Cute costumes . . . I am such a bad mom. Here it is the night before Halloween and Bill is out Home Teaching only to come home in a few hours while our Home Teachers come to our house (I struggle with the Home-Teaching part of Church). I have way too much to do to hurry and get dinner cleaned up just to have some come over and hype the kids and stay for a LONG time and still no costumes. I will probably be up all night. Sorry for the rant, I just meant to tell you what an awesome mom you are and now I am going to be the opposite and go throttle a few kids (5 in fact!!).
Loved this entry! The kids are just darling! Can't wait to hear the trick-or-treating details!
