So, I stumbled upon a blog that I find very funny. It is called http://themeanestmom.blogspot.com/ and I think if one day, she and I met, we might be friends.
But we went swimming this weekend with our kids. Our kids LOVE swimming, and it's been a great family activity for us. Anyway, she posted something about community pools that about made me gag just reading it (You can read it here: http://themeanestmom.blogspot.com/2009/05/community-pools.html) and even worse than the post is some of the comments like the one that talked about the family that probably didn't bathe at all and probably used the summer swimming months as their bath. GROSS!
Anyway, I'm trying not to let it influence my goal to take my kids swimming much more this summer since they love it. I'm trying to be a fun mom and have activities planned for the sake of us all. And if I thought Michael read my blog I wouldn't post this because he might not let us go anymore after reading this.

I can't even tell you how many times we have gone to our little Community pool, only to find a notice on the door saying the pool is closed because someone left a little 'present' in the pool. What shocks me is that some unsuspecting person got to stumble across the 'present' because the giver was too embarassed to fess up! They just left it and didn't tell anyone!
OH Judy. I went to that sight and I couldn't read the whole thing, gross.
I just have to not think about it. Our family loves loves loves swimming. I just have to keep thinking thank goodness for chlorine, the stronger the better.
