On Friday we went on a date for Mother's Day. Michael brought me home these beautiful flowers. LeeAnn was super nice and watched our kids while we went to dinner and a movie. We ate at Zuppas (a soup, sandwich and salad place). We both got soup and sandwich. The sandwiches were ok. I really liked the soup (I got the cauliflower - if you ever go).
On Saturday, the kids and I went to probably the cutest primary activity I have ever been to. It was called "Mom's, Momentos, Muffins and Massages" Where we did just that.
The kids made me this cute dish rag, Sam's hands are blue and Kate's hands are the red. Then we went to a different room where they had muffins and fruit. In the corner of the room there was mood music playing and my kids thought it was perfect. They thought it was for dancing. (I didn't take my camera, so these are from my cell).

And then we went to another room where the lights were dimmed with soft couches, mood music and lotion so the kids could give me hand and foot massages. Which they did for maybe a minute until I was totally greasy with lotion. And then they focused on themselves...
While we were away at the Primary activity. Michael had rented a sod cutter and cut out the sod on the side of our house (we're going to pour cement). Nothing like good hard manual labor to take your mind off of the stressful Mother's Day talk he had to give in Sacrament Meeting. He did a great job!
While he was still working, since we were just in the way. We made our way up to Grandpa's house where there were cousins for Sam to play with and I hardly saw him. And Kate (who is almost always by my side) and I picked dandelions for the horses to eat.

Sunday night we went up to Kaysville to Grandma and Grandpa's house, where I hardly saw the kids at all there either because of cousins to play with, and we had dinner and visited.
It was a great weekend.

can I have your sod? I'm so jealous, maybe if I transplanted real grass we would have soft grass instead of desert grass, and sadly enough, that's about the same size of room that I actually have for a lawn. I'm actually half serious. Sad.
That is a way cute primary activity I will have to keep that in mind for next year!
Loved the primary activity! Taylor had her 1st achievement day activity tonight. So happy to be in a church that teaches so much-
THe kids are simply darling. Such a beautiful family.
What a cute Idea for a primary activity. I will have to remember it, that really is a cute idea.
We will have to try Zuppa's. That is quite a bit spot you are doing? are you doing it for parking?
