Father and Sons Campout

Posted by Picasa
Sam has been looking forward to... and counting down to this weekend since Michael told him about it. He'd wake up and say "7 more days until fishing!" Well, the morning of, he came into my room all dressed and with a big bag packed full of stuff ready to go. I told him he had to wait until Daddy got home from work before they could go. Needless to say, it was a long day of waiting for him.
Some of his highlights:
Fishing with his very own fishing pole, and catching, 8, 10, 12, 13 fish (the number keeps on going up like a true fisherman).
Spending time with daddy. When asked upon returning home if they'd had lunch. Michael responds to "no" but then Sam wont eat anything. Hmmm..... "Well, we did stop for shakes." (Any time with daddy usually involves ice cream).
Sleeping in the gray van! Sam LOVES this gray van, and this is always a highlight of the trip for him. One of the best parts is there's no air bags so he get to ride up front with Dad.

What cute pics. I am hoping our ward does a fathers and sons this year. There is talk they wont do it, my boys love it and it is one of my favorite nights of the year. Guilt free scrapping all night long.
That looks like a fun van, no wonder Sam loves it. I always thought it was stripped down since you say you use it like a truck. I bet he had a great time. Gettin' that fish story down.
