Cat and Mouse...

We usually check on our kids before we go to bed ourselves. Michael did it last night and told me I needed to go in and look at Katelyn. I went in there and this is what I found....She had gone to bed with her kitty, and unzipped her jammies and tucked her kitty inside. I thought it was just too funny. I took the kitty out and zipped up her jammies after I took the picture. I didn't turn on the light, the room was dark and that's what it looked like with the flash. Cool huh?

I've heard people say that having an only child is like child abuse... and with Sam, that would have been the case. He goes crazy when Kate's taking a nap (like right now). He'd rather just sit next to me and stare at the computer than go and play by himself. The other day Michael was watching him, and he said with a very serious face: "How come you're looking at me. Is it because I'm awesome?" I started smiling, which he immediately started to get self conscious and didn't want me laughing at him. I wasn't laughing at him, I was smiling at him... because he hit it right on the head, because he's awesome.

Whenever I see things like that with my kids, it makes me wonder what their thoughts were when they thought that would be a good idea. Was she trying to make the kitty feel safe? Or trying to make it warm? Cute!

How sweet and cute. Sam is Awesome!! I talked to him for a long time today, he was explaining what days he went to preschool, not on Sunday, not on Monday, not on Saturday, not on Friday, not on Tuesday when it's Christmas, not on Wednesday when it's Christmas, not on Thursday when it's Christmas etc. It was so cute.
You do wonder what is going on in kids minds. I love that picture of Katelyn, just the mothering instinct probably.
CUTE!!!

How cute is that! At first, I thought Katelyn was nursing the cat since that is what my kids currently pretend to do!

And yes, Sam is certainly Awesome!

This one is so great! The kitty was tucked away nice and safe.

I love a healthy dose of confidence in a kid. How could anyone doubt Sam's awesomeness when he's so aware of it himself?!
