We planted "Spring Seeds" on Friday for a special surprise on the first day of Spring. This was really fun for the kids. My friend gave me this cute idea... and she even made me the "Spring Seed" packet while she was doing hers.
The kids loved planting the seeds (as you can tell from the pics, it was getting late and Kate was already in jammies, I almost forgot to do it!). Sam, of course, was very meticulous in his planting of the seeds.
They both watered their seeds with special water.
The next morning lollipops were where they planted their seeds! All except for one spot... which you can see in the back where nothing grew... and Sam noticed and asked why nothing grew in that spot. I told him that sometimes all the seeds don't work
(My friend's little boy had already prepped Sam in what would happen in the morning.) So... he was so excited in the morning... BRIGHT AND EARLY... to see what grew. We told him he had to wait until the sun came up. I was surprised that Katelyn, who hadn't heard what would happen, asked to go outside right when she woke up to go and look at her seeds. It was a fun little thing to do.

What a fun idea, Judy. You are such a creative mom. I love to hear the things you do with those darling kids.
